Durgapur Youth Charitable Society, the philanthropic arm is established in 2015 with a vision "To help underprivileged people of our society". We believe that unless members of the civil society are involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen. Believing in this principle of 'Civic Driven Change', DYCS sensitizes the civil society in order to make them partners in its mission. We seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security. To be an end-to-end community based solutions provider in the areas of education, health and sustainable livelihood for vulnerable communities. Our vision is also to be an enabler bringing together corporates, groups of interested individuals, community organizations and the communities in need to do some meaningful work towards enriching the lives of those in needs. Work as a catalyst in bringing sustainable change in the lives of underprivileged people, children, youth and women, with a life-cycle approach of development. Enable the civil society across the world to engage proactively in the change process through the philosophy of civic driven change.
Our mission is to propagate welfare of the underprivileged in the society with an emphasis on slum children, youth, physically and visually challenged, aged, infirm and destitute. We want to impact every segment of society positively.
To ensure the holistic development of underprivileged children by providing them quality education, healthcare and balanced nutrition so that they can lead better life and can contribute to the society as responsible citizens.
To guide, train and impart skill development in the youth of the country so that they can secure a job and be self-reliant.
To provide medical services to those people who otherwise go untreated due to their economic conditions.
To extend financial support to underprivileged children up to the age of 14 years suffering from chronic diseases.
To enrich the lives of the aged people with care and comfort that they deserve.
To promote a healthy society by encouraging healthy environment through tree plantations & cleanliness drives across the country.
We reiterate our values and stress on ‘praxis’ in our work, in our effort to deepen our commitment to transform our organisational culture.
